About Us 

Cass-Way, LLC, was founded in 2010 by Joe Gassaway, PhD under the name J & L Farm. His vision was to create a safe and welcoming environment that provides endless opportunities for individuals with disabilities. A licensed psychologist for more than 30 years, Dr. Gassaway specialized in working with disabled children ages birth to 20 years. He later became inspired to work with disabled adults realizing that many of these individuals had little to look forward to, but life within a group home setting. Cass-Way was founded on the building blocks of healthy relationships, addressing personal growth, safety and trust. Joe retired in 2020 but continues to keep close with many of the staff & clients.

Our staff consists of over 35 employees trained to be a Direct Support Professional. Our staff are trained and certified in Medication Administration (including controlled substance), De-escalation Techniques, Positive Behavior Supports, CPR/First-Aid, Data Tracking, and Emergency Procedures; which are approved by the Department of Mental Health. Trained staff are available to provide some skilled nursing services for the individuals who require it.
